NAMASTE, I'M PARAMJIT (PAM) ANAND
This has been my life for more than 25 years.
Yoga, meditation, healing and spiritual practice didn't begin for me as a career. They became part of my own search for healing, understanding and a deeper way of living.
My path has taken me around the world, through more than two decades of teaching and 15 years living and practising in India.
Today, I teach Ancient Himalayan Kundalini Kriya and welcome people into the practices that have shaped my own life.
And after all these years, what matters most to me is still very simple.
I want people to experience the practice for themselves.

About Paramjit (Pam) Anand

My journey began long before I became a teacher
My early life shaped much of the woman I would become.
I lost my father suddenly when I was 14, and in the years that followed I experienced things that forced me to grow up quickly. I became strong, independent and fearless.
At 19, I left for Tenerife. I later became a flight attendant, travelling the world and experiencing different people, places and cultures. Returning to London in my late twenties, I found myself in a rewarding career in sales.
From the outside, life was full.
But inside, there was a question that wouldn't leave me.
Is this all there is?
I wanted to understand life more deeply. I wanted to understand the soul, our connection to something greater than ourselves, and the experiences I couldn't explain only through what I could see.
That search eventually led me to the Brahma Kumaris and became the beginning of a spiritual journey that would shape the rest of my life.
India changed everything
In 2003, I completed my Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training and began teaching almost immediately.
I wanted to go deeper.
That desire eventually took me to India, where I would spend 15 years living, studying, practising, channelling healing, teaching and supporting others on their own journeys.
During those years I learned from many teachers and explored different approaches to yoga, meditation, energy and healing, including five years studying with Dr Zhi Gang Sha and the Institute of Soul Healing.
And then I met the teacher who would change the direction of my path.
My beloved Guruji, Devdas Rao, ‘Dev Baba’
I received Guru Diksha and studied under his guidance for many years. Through Guruji, I was initiated into Ancient Himalayan Kundalini Kriyas and received his blessing to carry the practice forward and share it with others around the world.
My relationship with Guruji continues today. I return to his ashram in India each year and join him online every week for meditation, continuing to deepen my practice and connection to the lineage.
This practice isn't something I discovered recently and decided to teach.
It has been part of my own life, practice and journey for many years.

I don't just teach this practice. I live it.
Ancient Himalayan Kundalini Kriya yoga is part of my own daily practice.
After all these years, I still practise nearly every day. And I am forever grateful for what this practice has brought into my own life.
I love my life. I trust life. I love the people who come into my life. And more and more, I have learned what it means to live with grace, rather than always trying to make life happen.
This didn't come from learning something once. It has grown through years of practice, dedication and living what I teach.
People sometimes reflect back to me the presence they feel when I teach and the way I hold a space. For me, that comes from love and service, and from everything I have lived and practised over the years.
I don't just teach it. I practise it.
And perhaps that is why I love sharing it so much.
I want other people to have the opportunity to experience what this practice can open within their own lives, in their own way.
Life brought me to Galicia
My path eventually led me into another completely new chapter: becoming a mother and making a home in Galicia in northern Spain.
During meditation, I had received guidance that I would have a son and that Galicia would become my home. At the time, I questioned how any of it could happen.
And then life unfolded in a way I couldn't have planned.
My son, Eliazar, arrived, and I found the place that would become our home and Shakti Rio Miño.
Surrounded by nature and overlooking the mountains of Portugal, Shakti Rio Miño became the physical home of my work, a place for practice, workshops, retreats, connection and stillness, where I also welcome teachers and hosts to share their own work.
It is also simply our home.
A place where the spiritual and the everyday belong together.

The Full Seven

A lifetime of practice brought together
The Full Seven grew from everything I have lived, studied, practised and taught over the years.
Yoga. Meditation. Pranayama. Mantra. Chanting. Energy practices. Healing. The chakras. The teachers and traditions that have shaped me.
Today, Ancient Himalayan Kundalini Kriya sits at the heart of my work.
For me, these practices aren't about escaping ordinary life.
They are practices we take into life.
Into our relationships.
Into our work.
Into the moments when our minds become busy, emotions rise and we lose connection with ourselves.
We practise returning.
Again and again.
Because eventually something you once had to remember can begin to become more natural.
As I often say about the people who practise with me:
“They remember it. It becomes them. It's not outside of them.”
That is what practice means to me.
Something you live.

Come And Experience
Whether we meet for an Awaken Within experience, practise together over 40 days, spend time together on retreat or work together more personally, I want you to have your own experience.
You don't need to believe what I believe.
You don't need to have spent years practising yoga.
And you don't need to know what you're supposed to feel.
Come as you are.
Experience a practice.
And notice what happens in you.
